TIMBER

At Softer, we hand pick the timber that your product is made from.  As timber is a natural product sometimes variances do occur in the colour and grain, we try our best to keep it consistent. It can also darken or change colour over time depending on the levels of UV light it is exposed to. It may also expand or contract if there is dramatic changes to the climate e.g air conditioned rooms or extreme heat, this may cause the timber or joints to crack.

Each piece of furniture is coated in a protective oil, the best cleaning method for this is a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives. Please use coasters if you are serving drinks , don't leave any spills to sit on top of any surfaces and avoid direct contact with heat.

LEAD TIMES

Your Softer piece can take up to 12 weeks to produce depending on how busy we are. If you need your product by a certain time please contact us and we till try and accommodate you to the best of our ability. We will not commence production of your piece until a deposit has been paid. 

DELIVERY

Delivery within the Melbourne area is free and will take place at a time that is suitable for both parties. 

Delivery within Australia, we use a reputable courier and package all items securely to avoid any damages in transport. A tracking number or contact details will be provided for the arrival of your item/s. Some assembly may be required when you receive your item. Please contact us for a delivery quote.

WARRANTY / REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

At Softer there is a high degree of care and craftsmanship put into every piece of furniture. A 3 year residential and 1 year commercial warranty covers the structural integrity of timber items. Solid timber is a natural product and is responsive to changes in the environment. Any movement, cracking, joint separation or bowing in timber as a result of changes in humidity, fluctuating temperatures or direct sunlight is not warranted. Any items that have been damaged due to flooding or contact with water will void any warranty. 

Saying that, accidents do happen. If your Softer piece is damaged due to any kind of incident we are here to help. We can repair, re-sand and oil and hopefully restore it back to as new condition.  A fee may be involved for covering any costs associated with repairing accidental damage.

Our products are for interior use only, unless specified otherwise.

As Softer pieces are made to order, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
